At a special press conference, the Polish Minister of Health, Łukasz Szumowski stated: “Today, there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Poland. Nonetheless I think it’s only a matter of days until the SARS-CoV-2 does indeed find its way to our country. As of now, there are 47 people whom we suspect might be infected and they are in hospital and under observation. 55 people are under home quarantine and more than 1500 are simply being monitored. If we returned home from Italy and had no contact with confirmed, infected people then we should go on as we were with our everyday lives. But if we return and have the symptoms, then we should call the emergency helpline and report to the infectious diseases ward".
