"We clearly see that the situation is stabilizing. There are currently 2,500 people in infectious isolation hospitals. Only 80 people are currently on respirators. The situation is systematically getting better, especially thanks to the actions taken by the government in order to stop the coronavirus outbreaks in Silesia, where over 36,000 people have been tested for the presence of the coronavirus. We’re testing 500 people in 24 hours. We’re also testing the families of the coal miners who work there. It was extremely important to reach their families as quickly as possible so that everyone feels safe. People are being tested at their homes in order to limit their contact with others. We hope that the number of those who tested positive for the virus will decrease, but we have to be aware of the fact that there are still many people who are infected", stated the deputy Minister of Health, Janusz Cieszyński.
