"During the past five years, we literally put 1 million and 200,000 people in our country out of poverty. Our current social situation is the best in the history of Poland. Until 2015, hundreds of thousands of Polish children, 800,000 to be exact, grew up with food shortages. The poverty of children has been reduced by over 90%. All of this happened thanks to the introduction of the 500+ program for Polish families, the 300+ program for the school starter kit, and the raising of salaries. The lowest salary was raised by 850 zloty, from 1740 zloty to 2600.  The average salary was raised by 20%. All of this happened because young people up to the age of 26 don’t pay taxes, and the rate tax was reduced from 18% to 17. This was also possible thanks to the fair indexation of pensions and annuities, as well as the 13th pension", stated president Duda.
