On Thursday, October 29, the full concentration of media is focused on crucial worldview topic – abortion. This is an essential case which depends on public debate. ‘Today, in society, in the whole country, we have to deal with an enormous challenge. This challenge is the coronavirus’ epidemic’ – said Prime Minister.

At the same time, Morawiecki pointed out that during the first outbreak of the epidemic, we all reacted differently.

‘When there were less infected, we all felt the discipline. We were acting in a disciplined way. It helped. Today, when there are much more infected people when the number of deaths due to coronavirus is higher, we do not maintain the discipline. Because of that, the risk of propagation is much higher’ – said Morawiecki.

At some point, Prime Minister turned with a direct appeal to all protesters under ‘Women Strike’.

‘Let this anger, let this reluctance focus on me, do not let it focus on those who might be threatened in two-week time. You, protesters, come into contact with the elderly at home, in the tram, and it might cost us a lot. The worldviews disputes are significant, and we have to deal with them, but let’s do it without threatening elderly, our mothers and fathers’ – appealed Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
