On Sunday, as he reported, 42.000 doses of Moderna’s vaccine had been delivered to Poland.
The President of the Material Reserves Agency conveyed that there is no information yet regarding the timing of the first delivery from AstraZeneca and its size. It may be, he estimated, around February 9.
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) issued a positive opinion on the EU approval of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by British-Swedish company AstraZeneca and researchers at Oxford University on Friday. The vaccine has also been officially approved by the European Commission.
So far, the vaccine used in the EU is Comirnaty, developed by US Pfizer and German company BioNTech, and the vaccine by US company Moderna. All three vaccines are given in two doses.
