"Our vaccine works similarly to the virus itself in order to destroy it in the body" - the scientist said in an interview with PAP (Polish Press Agency). As he adds, Polish scientists should be given a chance.
"There are many wise people in Poland - we need to create appropriate conditions for them and give our Polish population a chance for intellectual development," he says.
Prof. dr hab. Andrzej Mackiewicz is the head of the Department of Cancer Diagnostics and Immunology at the Greater Poland Cancer Center in Poznań and the head of the Department of Medical Biotechnology at the Medical University of K. Marcinkowski in Poznań. He is known, among others with achievements concerning the so-called cancer vaccines.
