According to the data provided by the National Headquarters of the State Fire Service, firefighters helped 1,748 people to come to the vaccination points from 18 January. In the last week only, 912 such transports were performed.

As previously reported by the spokesman of the Fire Service, 12 thousand units of volunteer fire brigades declared their participation in the action.

"It's more than 200,000 volunteer firefighters, several thousand of our firefighters who coordinate these activities," said Batorski.

As part of the nationwide vaccination campaign against COVID-19, firefighters help people who cannot get there on their own to reach vaccination points.

Firefighters also remind that everyone can access the free, 24/7 helpline of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program dialing 989.
