In today’s Facebook post, Prime Minister stressed that ‘vaccination and our responsibility is the best way to open the economy as soon as possible’.

‘I hope that the collective immunity that we are gradually acquiring through vaccination will lead to the pandemic dimming enough that we can open the economy as wide as possible,’ wrote Morawiecki.

He stressed that ‘all we need are more doses of vaccines and discipline, responsibility and solidarity of Poles’.

Last week, the Prime Minister announced that Poland would start looking for vaccines ‘on its own’, outside the EU agreement. Today on Radio Zet, the government's representative for the National Vaccination Program, admitted that the effectiveness of the EU mechanism had turned out to be different from what had been announced. ‘Today we are suffering the consequences of that decision,’ he said.
