The Deputy Minister was asked on TVP1 whether there were any possible changes in the vaccination schedule due to manufacturers' announcements of a different number of doses to be delivered.
‘Indeed, manufacturers state now and then different quantities of vaccines that will reach Poland. Pfizer has said it would fulfil that contract - 4.5 million vaccines in the first quarter. And indeed, over 380.000 Pfizer's vaccines have reached Poland today,’ he said.
He added that more than 200.000 Moderna's vaccines were expected to be delivered that week.
The Deputy Minister also recalled the fourth vaccine approved in recent days on the EU market produced by Johnson & Johnson. He pointed out that it no longer requires such restrictive transport and storage conditions.
‘In the second quarter, 2.5 million of these vaccines are expected to reach Poland,’ he said.
