Since the start of population vaccinations on January 25, firefighters have assisted people who cannot get there on their own to reach vaccination points. The action is carried out in cooperation with local governments, which report the need for such transport to the appropriate fire brigade commands.
"By March 16, firefighters carried out 651 transports of 793 people for vaccination against COVID-19," said the press spokesman of the Voivodeship Commander of the State Fire Service in Lublin, senior aspirant Tomasz Stachyra.
There are a total of 420 vaccination points in the Lubelskie Voivodeship where population vaccinations are carried out.
According to the government report published on Tuesday, over 260,000 people were vaccinated in Lublin region, including almost 94,000 with the second dose.
