"President Andrzej Duda called for tomorrow at 9.30 a meeting of the Cabinet Council on the epidemic situation and the further strategy of the state's actions in the fight against COVID-19," Spychalski informed on Twitter.

"The meeting will be held remotely due to the epidemic," he added.

The Cabinet Council is formed by the government headed by the president. Only the president decides to convene the council.

The Ministry of Health announced today (Thursday) that 27,887 new cases of coronavirus infection have been diagnosed in Poland in the last 24 hours. 954 patients have died, the most since the start of the pandemic.
