On Saturday, the head of government received the Silver Cross of Fighting Solidarity.
"Thank you for this Cross, I am very proud of it. If I can wear it, then only as a modest soldier of those times," said the Prime Minister during the ceremony.
"History asked us the same question that it asked Piłsudski, Dmowski, Witos and others, that is: what should Poland be, what shape Poland should be like, so that it would correspond to our aspirations and set the direction of changes for the faster and faster changing world," Morawiecki pointed out.
In his opinion, there are few people "better prepared and better predestined" to pursue this direction than the members and supporters of Fighting Solidarity.
